Incongruence

There were signs all along, but I still wasn’t prepared for the experience that Saturday was to bring. All week we’d been surrounded with the abounding joy and energy that kids exude when they’re all together and having the time of their lives.

Coming Home

It is one of the greatest joys of my life to bring people to the place where I was born and raised, to meet the beautiful people and to see what God is doing here. Those who come and spend a couple of weeks away from the noise and busyness of our American lives are changed forever.

Identity in Christ

It’s hard to believe we’ve done 3 days of VBS already! It’s been a very full and wonderful day here at Habitation of Hope. We woke up to the sound of the kids doing their exercises around the property, as well as the tropical bird sounds.

Power and Presence

Today was the second day of camp, and everyone was as energetic as ever. The campers never seem to run out of energy—when I woke up at 7:00 they were already out playing basketball, soccer, and volleyball—and the local leaders match their excitement with chants and cheers.
