Young Adults

Who am I? What am I doing with my life? Shouldn't I have this figured out by now? And how does God fit into it all? If you're a young adult, you may be asking questions like this. At NCC, we believe these questions are meant to be explored in community with each other!

You'll find a group of us on the patio together every week after church as well as frequent YA gatherings, which you can find on our events page. Our young adult pastor Josh Jewell-Horton would also love to connect over lunch or coffee– just shoot him an email to connect.

Men

Men of all ages connect throughout the year through a variety of gatherings designed to deepen faith and build meaningful relationships. Each fall and winter, Guys Together brings men together for an evening with a speaker or panel, followed by an optional four-session small group experience on the same topic. Other highlights include our annual Men’s Retreat in January and a Dad/Kids Campout in the spring.

Marriage

Date Nights

Join us occasionally for a fun evening starting in the Fireside Room with ideas and conversation, followed by a dinner out on your own and then a return to NCC for dessert. Childcare provided.

Premarital Mentoring

Designed for seriously dating, engaged, or newly married couples to prepare for a healthy, Christ-centered marriage. A mentor couple will help you explore your relationship using a Christian research-based curriculum. Topics include communication, conflict resolution, financial management, spiritual beliefs, and relationship roles.

How does this work?
To start, you'll take an online assessment from home, and then be paired with a trained mentor couple to get acquainted. You'll meet with the couple over the course of six 90-minute sessions. This is not counseling, but a great opportunity to learn from a couple who can share their own experience.

What is the benefit?
Through this program we've seen research-based positive outcomes, improved relationship dynamics and satisfaction, and significantly reduced risk of divorce.

How can we get started?
New Community Church has partnered with other local churches to pair couples together for mentoring. Please apply using the Menlo Church link below.
