Dave Peterson
Interim Lead Pastor
Dave thrives on creating socially safe communities for people to connect, discover commonality within differences, and experience authentic connection with God. His ministry has focused on spiritual growth through the power of community. Dave grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and before becoming a pastor, he spent 17 years as a retail investment broker. He holds an MDiv from Fuller Seminary. Dave and Kristina live in Menlo Park with their three school-age daughters and their dog, Henry. -
Rachel Palmbush
Pastor
Rachel oversees our NCC kids, students, women, and small group ministries. She has been a teacher, leader, and student of God’s word in academic and ministry settings throughout her life, with degrees from Calvin College and Fuller Seminary. Rachel was born in Michigan and raised in upstate New York. She and Scott live in Mountain View and have four kids--one in grad school, two in college, and one in high school. She enjoys creating beauty through scripture art projects and being active outdoors. -
Pat Little
Pastor, Worship & Community Engagement
Pat is passionate about using art to help form connections, explore human experience, and enhance spiritual formation experiences. He has spent two decades leading communities in worship and helping people encounter God through the arts. A Cal Poly grad, he is currently pursuing an MDiv degree at Fuller Seminary. Pat and Casey live in Menlo Park with their two young children. In his free time, Pat enjoys shooting hoops, hiking, hunting for used records, and eating ice cream. -
Josh Jewell-Horton
Associate Pastor, Students & Young Adults
Josh's great joy is helping students and young adults experience the Spirit of God and find belonging in the larger story of God's redemption and restoration of this world. He has over ten years of experience and is currently pursuing an MDiv. Josh is a California native and is passionate about big mountains, the mystery of God, and the soccer team Chelsea FC. He and his wife, Kristin, live in Menlo Park and love riding bikes, running, and drinking coffee. -
Amanda Pandjiris
Associate Pastor, NCKids
Amanda can’t help but smile when she is around kids! She has over ten years of experience leading children’s ministry, and was an elementary school teacher before that. The questions kids ask and their excitement for life bring her joy. She is passionate about helping kids understand how much they are loved by God. Amanda grew up in Los Altos; she and Tony live in Menlo Park and have college and high school sons. In her spare time, Amanda loves to read, cook, and is always up for an adventure. -
Elisabeth Alora
Office Manager & NCKids, Elementary
Elisabeth loves being surrounded by others at NCC who are also reflecting and learning together. Originally from Chicago, she studied International Relations in college, which took her to New York City, Moscow, and Boston, where she met John in a salsa class. They moved here in 2022 for John to pursue a PhD at Stanford. Elisabeth enjoys thinking up business ideas, such as her new EdTech app to help high school students with college essays. They live in Palo Alto with their young daughter. -
Katharine Sherwin
Churchteams & Communications
Katharine enjoys hanging out in the foyer on Sunday mornings making connections and greeting kids at check-in. She also supports Community Engagement and leads our Immigrant Accompaniment team. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Katharine has had a career in sales and management at IBM, and a variety of church volunteer and staff roles. She and Elton met in an IBM training class and moved to Menlo Park in 1994. They have two adult daughters. In her spare time, Katharine enjoys genealogy and Pilates. -
Morgan Hancock
Sunday Hospitality
Morgan thrives on the integration of psychology and theology to help people grow and feel more content. For the last decade, she has studied and created spaces where people can become more of themselves and loves being part of that at NCC. Her favorite spot at church is in the balcony with all the wonderful people there. Morgan is a licensed mental health therapist and earned her Masters degree from Western Seminary in Marriage and Family Therapy. She’s also a soccer coach, Swiftie, and Bay FC fan. -
Kathryn Carruthers
NCKids, Early Childhood
Kathryn, or "Miss Kitty" to the kids, has always had a passion for working with babies and young children. Beyond being a consistent and caring adult in their lives, she hopes to help our youngest friends know that church is a place where they are safe, loved, and heard. She runs our early childhood rooms on Sundays and is also a teacher at Stanford University’s Bing Nursery School during the week. Kathryn graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in child development. -
Margaret Musick
NCKids, Elementary
Margaret and her family have found community and connection based on a common love of Jesus at NCC. She loves sharing that passion through her role in children's ministry. Also a kindergarten teacher in Palo Alto, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Opera Performance/Music Education and a masters in Elementary Education. Margaret and Steven live in Palo Alto with their two young children. In her free time, Margaret enjoys spending time outdoors with her family or singing with a local choir.
