Pre-trip Prayer Letter
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

Our team of 10 will depart on June 26 for Harare, Zimbabwe for a Global Formation Adventure! We will be serving approximately 50 orphans in a camp run by our ministry partner, Hands of Hope, by helping to run a Vacation Bible School. We covet your prayers for this second NCC trip to Zimbabwe. We know that God has gone before us and will be with us as we come alongside these kids, who have been orphaned due to the death of their parents from HIV/AIDS, and/or are experiencing extreme poverty forcing parents to leave their children behind as they seek income in another country. Hands of Hope partners with local churches to care for these kids, providing shelter, food, education and introducing them to Jesus.
Please pray for the following:
God to prepare each team member’s heart as we have been meeting to plan the lessons and activities for the camp.
For good health and safe travel for the team.
Pray against any issues with customs entering the country and any spiritual warfare of Satan.
To be attuned to the leading of the Holy Spirit– that we will be granted the grace to have hearts like Jesus, filled with love and compassion for each other and all we meet on the trip.
That the team will be flexible and have open hearts to learn the lessons and the wisdom that God has planned for each of us.
That God will prepare the hearts of the children to accept and learn about Jesus.
